Top Notch KB – Website Redesign & Migration

The Challenge

Top Notch KB needed to move its existing React-based website to WordPress following technical SEO implementation concerns identified by the team. The project covered approximately 40 pages and required both a platform migration and a complete visual redesign.

The client had high expectations for the design but did not provide specific visual references. I needed to develop a distinctive, modern direction from scratch while accommodating frequent feedback, repeated design revisions, and separate visual treatments for the business's three main service categories.

Maintaining a consistent brand identity across a large website while making each service category visually distinctive was a key design and implementation challenge.

The Approach

I approached the project as a complete website migration, redesign, and SEO implementation. Following the team's recommendation to move from React to WordPress, I worked on rebuilding the website's content and page structure while supporting its technical SEO requirements.

I developed a distinctive visual direction from scratch, using premium interior photography, dark backgrounds, gold accents, and structured content sections. I also created differentiated layouts for the three main service categories and refined the design through multiple rounds of client feedback.

Alongside development, I handled SEO-related work as part of the migration to support the website's technical setup and search-engine accessibility.

The Solution

I rebuilt the approximately 40-page website on WordPress and implemented a fresh visual design tailored to the kitchen and bedroom renovation industry.

The redesigned experience included dedicated service layouts, large interior imagery, structured service descriptions, project galleries, promotional sections, and enquiry forms designed to help visitors explore the business's offerings and request further information.

The three main service categories received distinct visual treatments to reflect their individual content and presentation needs. I used a premium design direction featuring charcoal and black backgrounds, gold highlights, refined typography, and high-quality interior imagery.

I also worked through multiple rounds of client feedback, refining the design and page layouts to align the final implementation with the client's expectations while maintaining consistency across the wider website.
